But what do we know about the bright person behind this brand and his very own homonymous label “JW Anderson”?

OEWE is one of the most talked about brands at the moment due to the unique  designs, precise geometry and idiosyncratic collections they endorse.

Jonathan Anderson is an amazing and a personal favourite artist of mine. He is not a regular everyday artist though but in addition he is not a very modern or complicated one.He has chosen an art style between classic or realistic and modern art but we can still notice characteristics of abstract art movements.

This is also why he has made exceptional art pieces that deserve more recognition and appreciation. His feelings are very strongly shown through his work (even in the fashion industry), some of my favourite art pieces by him are realistic paintings of his surroundings or classic painting of an object but with a splash of some colour in usually the middle covering some part of the painting. This is a unique way of -i feel like- what is expressing that one period of time in his life or a person or even a memory that has been ‘’splashes and painted’’ in his memory.

Some other very interesting pieces of work are his sculptures and even his ‘’simple’’ paintings. Probably the most iconic and interesting project he has ever done though would have to be his fashion project pieces and his perspective on clothing. Just like he expresses his feelings through the colour palette he uses in art pieces the same exact thing he does with fabrics and looks.

He launched his first clothing collection in 2008 after having worked as a visual merchandiser for Prada for a couple of years beforehand. In 2010, Anderson received sponsorship from the British Fashion Councils Newton committee and subsequently produced his first catwalk collection at London Fashion Week. His designs give off Prada vibes but in its own kind of way making you feel like you've seen them before and not in the same time. They have been made just to compliment each and every person’s body making you feel the most confident.
